Welcome to the QUTDS!
We are a student-run society, who strive to create an inclusive community of individuals who are keen to improve their debating and public speaking skills, to travel across Australia and the world, and to get to know new friends within the QUT community.
We regularly compete in a range of external competitions, which affords our members the exciting opportunity to travel and learn from some of the best debaters and adjudicators in the world! We also hold our weekly 'Internals' meetings on Thursday evenings (usually at Gardens Point, but currently online) where we conduct training from 6pm and debates from 7pm every week.
Finally, we are one of the most active societies at QUT, as in addition to our weekly meetings and external competitions, we also organise a range of social activities such as picnics, dinners, drinks, bowling and more!
